Who we are, plainly stated InternetPlansHelp is an independent, third-party advisory and negotiation-assistance service for US residential internet customers. We are a private company. We are not Spectrum, not Charter Communications, and not a Spectrum call center, dealer, or authorized retailer. We do not sell Spectrum service. Any changes to your account, plan, pricing, or billing are made solely by your provider — we advocate and ask on your behalf, we do not have the authority to make those changes ourselves. We never take payment from you to pay a bill on your behalf.

What actually happens when you call

Three steps, no pressure, no obligation to continue at any point.

01

You tell us what you're paying

An advisor asks about your current provider, plan, and monthly bill amount. No account login or password is ever requested.

02

We identify options

We compare your bill against publicly available promotions, loyalty offers, and plan changes that may be available from your provider.

03

We ask on your behalf

With your verbal authorization on the call, we contact your provider to ask about applying a lower-cost plan or correcting a billing issue. Your provider makes the final decision.

What we help with

Bill review & negotiation assistance

We review your current statement and ask your provider about lower-cost plans, promotional pricing, or retention offers that may apply to your account.

Billing error follow-up

If you believe you've been charged incorrectly, we can help you document the issue and contact your provider's billing department to request a review.

Service change & cancellation guidance

Thinking about downgrading, pausing, or cancelling? We explain the steps, likely fees, and what to ask for — the request itself is submitted to your provider by you or with your authorization.

Plan comparison

We walk through publicly listed plan tiers and promotions so you can decide what to ask for, in plain language.

We do not process, hold, or transmit payments toward your provider bill on your behalf. Any payment to your provider is made by you, directly to your provider, through your provider's own payment channels.

The fine print, up front

  • Independent third party. InternetPlansHelp is not owned by, contracted with, or acting as an agent of Charter Communications, Inc., Spectrum, or any other internet service provider. Provider names referenced on this site are used only to describe the services we help customers with, and remain the property of their respective owners.
  • No guaranteed results. We cannot guarantee any specific discount, credit, or outcome. Providers set their own pricing, eligibility rules, and promotions, and may decline any request.
  • No payment handling. We do not collect, hold, or forward money to pay your internet bill. You pay your provider directly.
  • How we're paid. We may receive a referral or advisory fee from marketing partners, which does not affect the price you pay your provider. Ask your advisor for full details on the call.
  • Your data. Information you share with us is used only to provide this advisory service and is handled under our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information.
  • Recorded lines. Calls may be recorded or monitored for quality and training purposes; you'll be notified at the start of the call.

Common questions

Are you Spectrum?

No. We are an independent advisory company, unaffiliated with Charter Communications, Inc. or the Spectrum brand. If you want to contact Spectrum directly, you can do so through their official website or the number on your bill.

Will you pay my bill for me?

No. We don't collect or forward payments. You always pay your provider directly. We help you understand your options and, with your authorization, ask your provider about lower pricing on your behalf.

Is this free?

The initial bill review call is free with no obligation. If ongoing negotiation assistance involves a fee, your advisor will disclose the amount and terms clearly before you agree to anything.

What information will you ask for?

Your provider name, plan type, and current bill amount. We will never ask for your account password, Social Security number, or full card number over the phone.
